My 2025 wedding season ended on a high note with one of the most beautiful fall weddings I’ve ever DJed. On October 6, 2025, I had the honor of being the wedding DJ for Elise and Jordan at the Day Mountain Ranch Resort in Preston, Idaho — and it couldn’t have been a more perfect finale to the season.
A Scenic Mountain Ceremony
Day Mountain Ranch Resort is a stunning venue tucked right into the side of the mountains outside Preston. It’s peaceful, natural, and scenic in all the right ways — and the ceremony site sits up on a sloped hill with an incredible view of the valley below.

There were no power outlets at the ceremony site, so I got creative and went fully wireless, streaming the music via Bluetooth to my battery-powered speakers. Not an ideal setup, but it worked flawlessly — no dropouts, no interruptions, just beautiful music and an even more beautiful backdrop.
The ceremony playlist was pure class:
- “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole as guests arrived
- “Guild the Lily” by Billy Strings for the groom’s entrance
- “Here Comes the Sun” (instrumental) for the bridal party
- “Je te laisserai des mots” by Micha Philipp for Elise’s walk down the aisle
- “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder for the recessional
It was simple, heartfelt, and completely them.
A Cozy Pavilion Reception
After the ceremony, guests made their way down the road to the pavilion — a permanent outdoor structure built right into the mountainside. The view alone was worth the trip. Dinner kicked off with “I ain’t worried” by OneRepublic, and the rest of the evening was filled with ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s classics, plus some country favorites.

Dinner was fantastic — steak, salmon, roasted potatoes, and a pumpkin spice cheesecake that was exactly what a fall wedding should taste like.
The night’s key moments included:
- First Dance: a custom mashup created by Elise and Jordan
- Mother/Son Dance: “Can She Have This Dance” by Drew Baldridge
- Anniversary Dance: “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis
- Cake Cutting: “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” by James Taylor

There was no alcohol, but the energy was amazing. This was a dry wedding, and the crowd still danced their hearts out. Everyone was warm, kind, and full of joy — proof that great music and good company are all you really need.
A Few Special Thank-Yous
A huge shoutout to Jade Elzinga of Roselia Events — the wedding planner for the day. Jade and her team were absolutely fantastic: organized, professional, and incredibly easy to work with. Everything ran smoothly, from ceremony to send-off.
And to little Wyatt, who couldn’t stop dancing and singing along to the Backstreet Boys with me — you absolutely made my night, kid. Never lose that spark.
The Perfect Ending to 2025
As the temperature dropped into the low 40s, guests bundled up and the last few songs played under the pavilion lights. By the time I packed up, it was 8:30 PM — my final show of 2025, wrapped up in laughter, gratitude, and a beautiful mountain view.
Congratulations, Elise and Jordan! Your wedding was the perfect send-off to another amazing season. Here’s to love, music, and more dance floors in 2026.
