Ceremony in the Mountains
This was my second wedding at Grand Targhee, and once again the staff were top-notch. Friendly, organized, and easy to work with — they make the whole experience a lot smoother.
The ceremony took place at the overlook right behind the resort accommodations, with sweeping views of the Tetons and the valley below. It’s one of those spots that just feels made for “I do.” The reception area was set just below, the same space where I once saw a wild fox during a previous wedding (no repeat fox cameo this time).
A Day Touched by Loss, Lifted by Love
This wedding carried an emotional weight. Both families had recently experienced tragedy and loss, and those memories were honored throughout the day. The father of the bride gave one of the most beautiful and moving toasts I’ve ever heard at a wedding. It was heartfelt, powerful, and a reminder of how fragile and important family truly is.
Reception Vibes
Stephen and Megan gave me a great playlist to work with, full of easy-to-love songs that kept the dance floor packed all night. The crowd was fun, respectful, and full of energy — exactly the kind of group every DJ hopes for.
Even when the rain rolled in toward the end of the night and water started seeping under the tent, nobody let it stop them. Everyone kept dancing, singing, and celebrating like nothing else mattered. That’s how you know a wedding is special.
