On Saturday, August 16, 2025, I had the chance to DJ Pete and Devlin’s wedding reception at the brand-new Snow King wedding venue in Jackson Hole. This place is unreal. Perched on top of the mountain, it’s one of those venues that makes you stop, take a breath, and remember where the hell you’re standing. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Jackson Hole Valley, and the views are absolutely magnificent. It’s a wedding venue that basically dares you not to be impressed.
Getting there, though? That’s a whole other story. To reach the reception space, you have to load all your gear into gondolas and ride seven minutes to the top. That means adding a good two hours to prep and setup for any future gigs here. I had to split my rig across two gondolas, haul it up, and then move everything into the second floor of the building. It’s a process, but once you’re there, it’s absolutely worth it.

Mountain Wedding Reception Setup
The ceremony (or rather, the vows ceremony) was held a short walk from the reception hall, so I set up a small battery-powered speaker rig about 50–100 yards away. It worked flawlessly. The staff at the Snow King wedding venue were super friendly, and working with Emily from Event Planners of Jackson Hole (always a pro) made the whole day smooth.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a rooftop cocktail hour with a live string band while I prepped for the reception. It was a hot August day, a little overcast with threats of rain, but the storm never broke. Wind gusts kept us guessing, but the weather held long enough to keep everything on track.
Pete and Devlin’s Wedding Vibe
Pete and Devlin put together a fantastic playlist. They weren’t into rap or country, but everything else was fair game, and their requests were solid. The only outlier was one guest asking for “WAP” — which wasn’t going to happen, given the couple’s preferences. Other than that, it was smooth sailing. Their wedding party was respectful, fun, and genuinely great to work with.

Guests danced most of the night with Jackson Hole’s mountain skyline glowing through the windows. It was the kind of reception where you can feel the energy — good people, great vibes, and an unforgettable setting.
Final Thoughts
This was my first time DJing a wedding at the new Snow King wedding venue, and I can’t wait to come back. The combination of a mountain wedding reception, gorgeous views, and great people made it one of the highlights of my summer.
Pete and Devlin — thank you both. You’re a beautiful couple, and I wish you nothing but the best. Hopefully, I’ll get to DJ for you again down the road.
