It’s been a minute since I’ve done a proper update, but with everything going on, I needed to stop, rant a little, and get some words down. Honestly, part of this is just SEO — content keeps the machine moving — but it’s also a way for me to look back and check my own progress. Consider this one part journal entry, part barometer, and part roadmap for what’s coming next.
Weddings, Gigs, and Pop-Ups
The first half of 2025 has been stacked. I’ve already done seven or eight weddings, with more booked for the rest of the year. On top of that, I’ve been picking up more non-wedding gigs than usual — karaoke nights, private parties, even a killer event at The Cloudveil working for the a local law firm.

But I don’t want to just be “the wedding DJ.” I’ve been pushing harder into underground shows and house music events. I played the 10th Anniversary of Konnexion Festival in June, and that was a major highlight. (I’ve already blogged about that — come check it out here.)
Let’s not forget my trip to Coeur d’Alene to play a gig at Mik’s, courtesy of Tad and his fantastic community.

On top of festivals, I’ve been running my own shows: the Zelda-inspired Triforce party, Doused in House, and of course my flagship Gem State. I’ve also been testing the waters with smaller guerrilla-style pop-ups — one at Freeman Park in Idaho Falls and another at Shaddow Domain to promote Gem State. These little shows remind me that people are hungry for underground house music, and I’ve got the gear to keep doing them.
Gem State and Upcoming Shows
Speaking of Gem State — the next one goes down September 6 at The Gem in Idaho Falls. The stage design is still up in the air. Old-school rave vibes were always minimal, so I may just keep it raw and stripped back. Either way, it’s going to be all about the music and the energy in the room.

Then it’s on to Slime Pit 2 later this fall. That one’s a beast — stage design, slime production, Toys for Tots partnership, the whole nine yards. I’ll be shifting gears hard into planning as soon as Gem State wraps.
Looking further ahead, there’s Till Death Do Us Part in August 2026 — the wedding-themed rave where I’ll actually be officiating ceremonies on-site. It’s early, but I’ve already started promoting because couples need time to plan for something that wild.
Festivals on Deck
Festival season isn’t over yet either. On September 4 I’ll play my second-ever festival set at Welcome to the Oasis in Mountain Home, Idaho. I’ve got a 6 PM Thursday main stage slot, and I couldn’t be more stoked. Hopefully I’ll have a new track — my remix of Your First Groove (Highway 307 & Rick H) — back from mastering in time to drop it there.

Snow King Weddings and Jackson Hole
Another major milestone: I played my first wedding at the brand-new Snow King wedding venue in Jackson Hole. You have to load everything into gondolas to get to the top, which adds serious prep time, but once you’re up there, it’s absolutely breathtaking. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the valley while you DJ a couple’s big night? Unreal. I’ll definitely be back there again.

Music Releases and Atlantic Progression
Music-wise, things are picking up fast. My collab with Oddball Savage drops September 5 — a three-track EP with remixes from Ricco Sakona and noideahow2party That one’s already building traction on Spotify.

I’ve also got my remix of Chris Coles’ The Dissent coming out on Prognosis in September. My version chills it out a bit and leans into the groove — which honestly seems to be where my sound is heading lately.
Meanwhile, Atlantic Progression is evolving from just an event brand into a full underground label. I’ve signed a few artists, finished up some remixes, and have more releases on deck. On my Bandcamp you can already find tracks like Lighthouse and Vague Ending — the latter has even started popping up in other DJs’ mixes out in the wild. Wild, right?
Building for the Future
I’ll be real: juggling weddings, shows, label work, and music production as one person is brutal sometimes. But I’d rather be too busy than not busy enough. That’s why I’m also working on launching a proper newsletter — one email per month with free music, discounted tickets, or even guest list access for subscribers. If you’re reading this, make sure you’re signed up. There is a signup form in the footer of this website.
The truth is, I’ve got more on my plate than ever — and that’s a good problem to have. Whether it’s weddings, festivals, house music pop-ups, or label releases, this year has been about pushing forward on every front.
So yeah, maybe this post was a rant. But sometimes you need to pause, take stock, and remind yourself: it’s working.
