I want to take a moment to express some gratitude and also share an important update about where I’m headed.
First and foremost, DeLUXE TONE — and more specifically Steve and Karen Hansen — deserve recognition. Through DeLUXE TONE, they’ve been one of my biggest sponsors this year, especially when it comes to charity-focused events. One of the most meaningful was the 3rd Annual Independence Day Fundraiser for Children International, where we raised over $1,000. That event would not have happened the way it did without their support. I can’t thank them enough.
Steve and Karen’s involvement in my life goes far beyond sponsorship. They’re family to me in every sense of the word. These are the kinds of people I would drop everything for — no questions asked.
Recently, Steve reached out after reading a post I shared about weddings and the future. I think he may have been concerned with my public announcement about giving up the weddings. That gave me the opportunity to clarify something important.
2026 will be my final year DJing weddings
This isn’t a decision I made lightly. Wedding DJing has been good to me, and it’s provided real stability over the years. But the reality is that it takes a toll — especially during the summer. Every weekend is gone. Every milestone, every memory with my kids, every family moment competes with someone else’s biggest day.
I’ve reached a point where I’m no longer willing to miss my children’s lives to participate in everyone else’s.
I’ll honor every commitment I have so far. I’ll give every couple in 2026 the best wedding DJ experience I possibly can. And then I’m done with weddings.
That does not mean I’m done DJing.
It doesn’t mean I’m done creating.
It doesn’t mean I’m leaving the scene.
I’m still making music. In fact, my son Carter and I are beginning to collaborate — he’s got a DAW now, and watching him explore music has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had. Atlantic Progression is still moving forward as well. We’re still working toward releases, still figuring out what we want that label to become, and still committed to supporting artists and the scene in meaningful ways.
What will change is how I show up.
With kids still at home, my role will likely shift away from constantly throwing shows and booking events, and more toward supporting the scene through sponsorship, mentorship, and strategic involvement. Atlantic Progression may become more of a sponsor and supporter of events rather than the engine behind every one of them — and that’s okay.
I’m not going anywhere. I’m just adjusting my priorities.
2026 is shaping up to be a year full of shows, projects, and new directions. I’m excited for what’s ahead — and I’m grateful beyond words for the people who’ve supported me along the way.
Steve and Karen — thank you. I’m looking forward to many more years of charitable work and collaboration together.
