Oh my god.
Google, you are fucked.
Here’s why:
The newest Logic Pro 11 update includes built-in ChatGPT support, and it just torpedoed the last reason I ever had to use a search engine while producing music.
And no, I’m not using it to make music for me. I’m not outsourcing my soul. I’m using it to spark ideas—to ask for melancholy chord progressions in D minor, or dark and brooding builds, or emotional arcs I can experiment with inside a song. I type my prompt right there in the notepad window inside Logic, and boom—GPT throws me back 8 different chord progressions to try out.
No need to leave the DAW.
No Google.
No Reddit threads.
No YouTube spirals with useless “gurus” trying to sell me their bullshit courses.
NO FUCKING ADS!!!
Just the tools I need right now.
AI as an In-DAW Teacher
Today I was working on a new track with Tobi from Raverholics Radio. I had this sound in my head—something like the spiral FX on an RMX-1000, but not exactly that. Buzzsaw texture. Oscillator-based. Big tension builder before the drop.
I didn’t know how to build it.
So I asked ChatGPT right inside Logic.
I just typed what I was imagining: what it should sound like, what kind of motion or energy it should have, and what I was trying to accomplish in the mix.
It gave me three different ways to build that sound—and all three worked.
Not only that, I could tweak and make them my own. Fit them to the track. Mold the tone. Craft the shape.
But here’s the real punchline:
I never once opened Google.
Google Can Suck It
That’s the point.
I didn’t get my data scraped.
I didn’t get advertised to.
I didn’t have to fight through 13 SEO-spammed blog posts to get a basic answer.
I didn’t get distracted by a video that led me to another video that led me to cat memes.
I stayed in the DAW. And I got the result. Fast. Clean. Personalized.
So yeah—Google, you’re fucked.
SEO Still Matters—But It’s Not About Google Anymore
This is where the irony comes in.
I still believe in SEO. I still push brand building through search. Hell, I’ve been in marketing for 15+ years—I know SEO inside and out. And here’s the truth:
Search isn’t going away.
But the way people search is shifting—fast. Especially for artists and producers.
These large language models? They’re scraping your site already. Whether you like it or not. Whether you gave them permission or not.
So the only defense—hell, the only offense—is to make sure your data is accurate.
That means posting consistently.
That means feeding the machine.
That means showing the fuck up on your own terms, with your own voice, before some AI bot misrepresents you.
Because like it or not, this is how people are going to find and understand you soon. Not through a blue link on Google, but through an AI prompt.
Embrace the Shift—or Fall Behind
Don’t get it twisted. I’m not saying kill your culture.
Keep playing your vinyl. Keep building your live rig. Keep being you.
But if you’re not putting content out, if you’re not growing your skills, and if you’re not documenting that growth online in a way that’s crawlable, indexable, and visible—you’re falling behind.
I’m not trying to win Instagram.
I’m not trying to go viral on TikTok.
But I’ll win the SEO war. Every time.
Because I understand how this works.
And I’m not scared to say it:
Google – Adapt or Die.
I’d prefer you just die.
