This past Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, I had the pleasure of DJing a wonderful wedding at The Millhouse in Rigby, ID, celebrating the union of Chance and Gabby Hansen. It was a perfect day for a wedding, with clear skies and a slight breeze adding to the charm of the picturesque venue.
The Millhouse itself was stunning, providing a beautiful backdrop for the day’s events. Approximately 60-80 guests gathered to witness and celebrate Chance and Gabby’s special day. Gabby looked absolutely radiant in her wedding dress, while Chance was equally dashing in his handsome suit.
The ceremony was a heartfelt affair. The music selection was particularly touching, featuring “Perfect” by Karolina Protsenko, “The Night We Met (Piano Version)” by Sam Yung, “Timeless (Taylor’s Version)” by Ana Done, and “Good Life” by One Republic.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with classic rock tunes setting the perfect ambiance. As the evening progressed, the festivities continued with the newlyweds’ first dance to “Somewhere” by Vincent Lima, marking the beginning of a delightful dinner catered with mouth-watering BBQ.
The toasts by the maid of honor, Hailey (who also booked me for her wedding later this summer), and the best man, Grant, added a personal and emotional touch to the evening. After the speeches, the bride and groom shared dances with their parents to “Stand By Me” by Florence and the Machine, which was a beautiful moment.
The dance floor then opened up, and it was a blast! Guests danced enthusiastically, filling the night with energy, joy, and laughter. The crowd was incredibly respectful and fun, making the DJing experience even more enjoyable. Everyone was in high spirits, and there wasn’t a single dull moment.
The night concluded at 11:00 PM, leaving everyone with fond memories of a truly wonderful wedding. It was an honor to be part of Chance and Gabby’s special day, and I look forward to bringing the same energy to Hailey’s wedding later this summer.

The Idahoan
Based in Idaho and with a global reach, The Idahoan is the Gem State’s only DJ specializing in Progressive House and Psytrance music. Drawing inspiration from legendary DJs like John Digweed, Sasha, and Paul Oakenfold, he started DJing in July 2019 and has since uploaded over 500 unique shows on Mixcloud.
