What If This Is the Thing I’m Meant to Do?

What If This Is It?

You know, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. What if this—this blog, this SEO work, this relentless publishing—what if this is the thing I’m meant to do?

I’ve seen how fast some of these blog posts get indexed. How they start ranking for decent search terms in our little Idaho EDM world. That’s not luck. That’s work. That’s proof that the work works. And if I keep going—keep publishing, keep building, keep refining this voice and platform—then it stands to reason I could build something massive here. Not just for me, but for all of us.

What If I’m the Hub?

Let’s be real. There’s no central source of information for electronic music in Idaho. Nothing for the bass heads in Pocatello, nothing for the house heads in Idaho Falls, nothing for the psy kids or the open decks kids or the rave crews. Just scattered pages, groups, and flyers.

But what if I made that hub? What if The Idahoan became that hub?

I could build artist profiles, keep track of every underground event in the state, help people find local talent, find the right Facebook groups, connect the dots. Be the one place people can go to find the scene.

It’s not even that far-fetched. My website’s already ranking. My content is already getting read. I don’t need a team. I’m doing this myself. No agency. No ad spend. Just hustle and know-how. And if I lean in, if I really go for it, this could be the thing that carves my name deep into Idaho’s music history.

No, I’m Not Trying to Be Famous

Look, I’m not out here chasing fame. I’m 44. I’m not going to “blow up.” And I’m not bitter about that. But I am thinking bigger.

This isn’t about being the biggest DJ in the state. This is about making the scene bigger. More organized. More connected. Stronger.

And yeah, people will know me. They’ll come to my site, read the articles, check the artist profiles, find new events. That’s not ego. That’s impact. That’s building something bigger than a gig or a song drop.

The Business of All This

People have asked if I’m going to start offering SEO or marketing services. And here’s the thing—I don’t want to do your marketing. That shit’s exhausting. But I’ll teach you. I’ll show you how to build your site, how to rank your DJ name, how to build brand authority and find your niche—without selling your soul to an algorithm-chasing agency.

I think that’s my angle. Show other Idaho DJs how to market themselves until they don’t have to. Until they’re ready to hand it off to someone and actually understand what they’re handing off.

Holy Shit, I Think I Found It

This is the work that lights me up. This is something I can do for myself and for the scene. Something I don’t have to be young or famous or rich to pull off. Just relentless.

And you know what? That’s what The Idahoan is going to be. A site for the scene. A voice for the state. A platform for the community.

We don’t have to wait for someone else to do it. I am doing it. And if you’re part of Idaho’s underground, I want you to know: I see you. I’m building something that’s for all of us.

Let’s go.
