The first word that comes to mind when I think about Ellie and Andrew’s wedding is: WOW.
This wedding gig was absolutely phenomenal. I had such a fun time and I wish this beautiful couple nothing but the best in their future together.
Whew. Where do I begin? Well, the venue. The Alta, WY wedding venue has stunning views of the Grand Teton mountains. It was breathtaking. The ceremony featured a 2 person mandolin/guitar duo and the setting couldn’t have been more beautiful and fitting.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour began… right about the same time as a thunderstorm. Luckily, we only got strong wind for about an hour and a very light trickle of rain. Really, the only inconvenience the weather presented was a slight chill in the air.
Ellie and Andrew threw a fantastic party. There were quite a bit of guests in attendance and the main reception area was under a large tent. I was set up on a stage at one end of the dance floor. I great setup, indeed… LOL.
Dinner was absolutely delicious and was catered by R&R Catering from Driggs, ID. During dinner, toasts were performed and the first dances were had. Then, the party really began.
Once the dancing started, it simply did not end. That dance floor was packed for the rest of the night and everybody seemed to be really enjoying themselves. I got so many requests that I simply could not keep up!
By the end of the night, the party was still going strong and enjoyed some silent disco partying.
The biggest congratulations goes to Ellie and Andrew for their wedding! Thank you so much for including me and allowing me to bring the tunes. It was so much fun and it was certainly my honor and my privilege to be there. Your guests were on their best behavior and I couldn’t have asked for a better gig.

The Idahoan
Based in Idaho and with a global reach, The Idahoan is the Gem State’s only DJ specializing in Progressive House and Psytrance music. Drawing inspiration from legendary DJs like John Digweed, Sasha, and Paul Oakenfold, he started DJing in July 2019 and has since uploaded over 500 unique shows on Mixcloud. The Idahoan has opened for artists such as ill.GATES, Robert Babicz, and Darin Epsilon, and holds residencies on Atlantic Progression and Raverholics Radio. Additionally, he provides DJ services throughout eastern Idaho and western Wyoming, booking numerous gigs each year.
