DJing Olivia & Peyton Moss’ Big Day

On May 31, 2025, I had the honor of DJing a beautiful, down-home wedding for Olivia and Peyton Moss in Challis, Idaho. Nestled deep in Idaho’s rugged countryside, Challis provided the perfect rustic backdrop for a true country-style celebration.

The wedding day weather? Absolutely perfect. Clear blue skies, a light breeze, and a toasty 93°F made for a classic early-summer day in rural Idaho. The venue—likely on the groom’s family’s property—was surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and farmland that captured the essence of Idaho’s natural beauty.

Olivia and Peyton were an absolute dream to work with. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with kindness and excitement. Their friends and family were some of the most polite, helpful, and welcoming guests I’ve encountered—many even helped move gear from the ceremony to reception space. That kind of support makes a mobile DJ’s day.

The ceremony itself was smooth and heartfelt. Despite a bit of wind causing minor feedback issues during the mic’d portion, the vibe was intimate and filled with love. The officiant nailed it, and everyone looked stunning.

The reception took place in a large metal Quonset-style hut. While it had character, it didn’t have air conditioning—so things got HOT quickly. With temps in the 90s and the building soaking up the sun, guests began migrating outdoors. Luckily, I had a portable speaker setup ready to go, and we transitioned the dance floor under the open sky. Problem solved.

Music-wise, the couple was clear: no pop-country. Just the classics—think Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, and even some Faron Young. I spun nearly every must-play request on their list and kept the energy flowing all night long.

The party wrapped around 10pm, and I left feeling honored and inspired. These are the kinds of weddings that remind me why I love what I do.

Special shout out to Kendra, the photographer based in Idaho Falls, who did an excellent job helping coordinate the flow of the day and keeping things smooth.

Congrats again to Olivia and Peyton Moss! Thank you for letting me be a part of your big day.
