I think we need to break up. It’s not me. It’s you.

All right, so I’m gonna have to start doing all of my posts here on my own website.

I woke up this morning to start promoting my latest release today. Not on Facebook, however. Restricted because of spam.

In fact, let’s just start over—I’m done with using Facebook as my #1 content vehicle. I’m done with the restrictions. I’m done with the bans. I’m done with them telling me to post as often as possible, then punishing me for it. Everybody knows the story with Facebook.

Building Something New

I think it’s time to start building something new. Going direct-to-consumer is really the only way out of this social media hellscape we find ourselves in.

What Got Me Banned This Time

Most likely, what happened this time—what got me restricted—was my criticism of the Pocatello police officers who shot and killed Victor Perez, an autistic, disabled child. They’re murderous pigs. And it’s obvious that the authoritarian bootlickers of Facebook—the ones with big fat bellies who can’t give their wives or girlfriends orgasms—are the ones who reported my posts and comments and got me hit with a restriction.

I just can’t let people like that control what I say anymore.

Time to Go Independent

So that’s it. I’m moving my primary content posting to the website.

I’m going to start encouraging people to sign up for my newsletter. I’ll put one out twice a month—just enough to keep everyone caught up on what’s going on.

It’s Going to Take Work

And yeah, it’s gonna be a long, hard process. It’s going to take a lot of work. But in the end, I believe the music industry as a whole—once we break free of this mega-festival malaise—is going to shift. And I’m moving underground. Let’s go.

What Comes Next

So, from here on out, I’m setting up and sharing links for people to sign up for the newsletter. I’ll also encourage folks to visit the website as often as possible.

I don’t yet know how I’m going to structure the content—whether it’ll be long-form essays or quick, social-style blurbs. I’ve got to figure out what’s going to work best. Maybe I’ll run a poll, get a sense of what’s most palatable to people.

Screw the Algorithm

I do know this: Facebook and Meta aren’t going to like me trying to bring people off their platform. I’ve told others that if you want to succeed on Facebook, you have to keep people on Facebook. I tried that. I still got in trouble.

So fuck Facebook. Fuck me. Everyone says fuck it.

I Know How to Do This

Here’s the deal—I’ve got the means. I’ve got a website. I’ve got 15 years of marketing experience. I know how to do this shit.

And that’s all we’ve got to do—just do this shit.

Stay Tuned

I’ll be back with more later.

I control my underground – not Meta.
